It's called MCC's International Volunteer Exchange Program, or "IVEP" -- an opportunity for Manitobans, Canadians, and US Residents to host an international student. The IVEP year begins in mid-August and runs until mid-July the following year. And for Linda and Walter Dueck of Winkler, it's their 3rd term hosting.
The volunteers from the program, or IVEPers, stay with host families to get a feel of what it is like to live in a Canadian home and are placed in volunteer positions nearby. And Linda mentioned the experience has been positive from both sides...
