Coach Bonnie Loewen (far right) joined us on the AM1250 Morning Show. Her 16U Boys' volleyball team is off to Calgary for the National Championships and they are raising some money to help with the cost of getting everyone there.

But the team is going beyond that. They will be giving half of the proceeds from Saturday's car wash to the Children's Wish Foundation. You see, one of the boys on the team lost his brother to cancer last year and in the months prior to his death -- he was granted a wish -- something that was very special to the family. So, the boys want to pay it forward now and we can help them do that by finding them by Steinbach Hatchery on Main Street, this Saturday, May 14th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They're asking $15 for each car that comes by and you can even grab some lunch while you wait.

Thank you Bonnie for the amazing story you shared with us this morning and for reminding us that sports is about a lot more than just the game -- there are countless life lessons and it sounds like your boys are learning some of the best ones!
