The fourth annual Southeast Manitoba Draft Horse Association Plowing Match was a success according to the chair of the plow match. John Hildebrand says the juniors were plowing in the morning followed by the senior novice class and the senior pro class, which he was a part of.

"With the horses we plow 200 feet in length and 30 feet wide. The trackers they are different, for the two bottom we plow 65 feet wide and 300 feet long and the three bottoms are 85 feet wide and 300 feet long."

As for the weather Hildebrand adds they couldn't have asked for better. Hildebrand says there were around 300 spectators who drove as far as 400 miles to attend. He notes some of the trackers from the senior pro series will be attending the Canadian Nationals at the end of August.
