The wildfire burning northeast of Caddy Lake has nearly doubled in size from Monday. It now covers an area of approximately 5,100 hectares.

The east shore of Caddy Lake remains closed until further notice and evacuation orders remain in effect. Provincial Road 312 is also still closed.

An evacuation order remains in effect for Wallace Lake, east of Bissett, which affects 61 cottages and one lodge. The Wallace Lake campground is closed until wildfire conditions improve.

Travel restrictions remain in place in eastern Manitoba, as back country travel is prohibited between the hours of noon and 7pm.

In the Whiteshell Provincial Park, the Hunt Lake, Mantario and McGillivray Falls hiking trails are closed until wildfire conditions improve.

All burning permits are cancelled and no new permits will be issued for eastern and central Manitoba until conditions improve.
