The Rural Municipality of De Salaberry is on the hunt for a new Chief Administrative Officer.

After taking on the position in October, 2013, Larissa Love announced earlier this month she will be leaving in order to work for the RM of West Interlake. Love says she truly enjoyed her time

in De Salaberry and it's been a difficult decision to leave. Her last day will be Tuesday, August 25 before she begins her new position during the first week of September.

"Larissa Love came to work, did a lot of hours for the municipality," notes Reeve Marc Marion. "Very personable person. I wish her the best of luck in her next job posting."

Marion says in today's market, employees are constantly looking at the other side of the fence for change. He has heard the average person will change jobs seven times in their lifetime.

"Things that happen in the municipal world and every other type of function out there," says Marion. "It's something that we will need to deal with."

Marion says they don't want to rush into hiring a replacement and want to make sure they hire someone who can serve the municipality. He notes depending on the list of candidates, he's hopeful they can name a new CAO by January 1st, 2016.

In the interim, Vince Anderson has been contracted to fill the void. Anderson comes with many years of experience, having served as the CAO for Winkler for about 15 years.
