Some Centra Gas customers in Manitoba will soon notice a reduction on their bills.

The Public Utilities Board has approved the application of Centra Gas Manitoba to decrease the current primary gas rate effective November 1st.

Primary gas is sold at cost by Centra to Manitoba customers.

The board also approved the removal of non-primary gas rate riders on transportation and distribution sales rates that were previously approved by the board and set to expire next week.

The combined effect will reduce the annual bill of an average customer by $78 per year.

Primary gas rates for customers that have signed fixed-term fixed-price contracts are not affected.
