Mayor Myron DyckNiverville Town Council approved a conditional use for a Tim Horton's restaurant and a Shell gas station to be built.

Mayor Myron Dyck says they held a conditional use hearing in which council was presented with a proposal.

"What was presented to council at the conditional use was a joint building, which will be separate, there won't be a walk through for a Tim Horton's and the Shell Station, that will be coming to Niverville on the west side adjacent to the Drovers Run Golf Course."

Dyck says the building would be located on Krahn Road in the Highlands Development. He says there were a few residents who showed up to the conditional use hearing.

"The public had a chance to speak to it, if there are any concerns or if there are any conditions that they might like applied if they are fencing or trees planted. Some residents did come, they were speaking in favour of it. We had none that were speaking against it so with no objections being heard council approved the conditional use for the Tim Horton's and the Shell."

Dyck says there were some residents who attended the hearing who simply wanted more information.
