Fall pre-registration is back at Steinbach Arts Council starting Thursday.

Program Coordinator Cassandra Milchark says there's opportunity to sign up for classes such as Backyard Theatre Company, Arts For Tots, Creative Cooking, XCompany's 12-week introductory dance class and Fusion Musical Theatre. Instructor for Fusion Musical Theatre, David Klassen, says they are bringing back the program, although it will look different.

Spring 2015 musical production of 'Anne Of Green Gables'. Anne gets her first taste of ice cream.Klassen notes the class will run once a month on Saturday between September and April and focus on the three major areas of musical theatre - drama, music and dance. He adds he's really excited about this program because he just came off a spring of directing in different communities and the highlight for him was his community directing experiences.

"There's a new Performing Arts Centre in our future and there are a lot of people with a lot of talents in that area who will benefit from building those skills and finding themselves on that new stage someday."

Klassen says the program will be a great fit for those ages nine to nineteen.

"The people that are going to benefit the most from this program are people who are already working on some level in one of those areas," notes Klassen. "Either in drama who can sing, or who is working privately taking singing lessons and have a real passion for acting, somebody whose a dancer who maybe doesn't sing so much, or any combination of those things. Any student is a best student. So if students have the ability to sing and are interested in growing that gift of dance or drama then they should come and see if this is a good fit for them."

Klassen adds there are always new programs at Steinbach Arts Council being offered in theatre, visual arts, dance and more.
