A 17 year-old boy from Lorette died in a single vehicle collision early Sunday morning near Dufresne. Steinbach RCMP report it happened at 4:30 a.m. on Provincial Road 207, just east of Municipal Road 31. A car rolled and landed in the ditch. The boy, a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 17 year-old male, also from Lorette, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say it appears the driver was wearing a seatbelt but the passenger was not. Investigators believe alcohol was a factor.
