As the Seine River School Division (SRSD) prepares for a new school year, some changes are already being announced regarding a few leadership positions. 

Raffaele Borelli, Vice Principal at Collège St. Norbert Collegiate is retiring at the end of the current school year. 

“Raffaele’s career spans over 35 years of which the last 25 were with the Seine River School Division. He started as a Classroom Teacher at Collège St. Norbert Collegiate and since has served as an Instructional Coach, Math Consultant, and Vice Principal. He also served on the numeracy committee where he played an integral part in revamping divisional numeracy assessments,” says SRSD. 

Borelli was a two-time recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Manitoba. 

“Raffaele is very passionate about reaching every student and providing students with the appropriate resources, modeling, and opportunities to improve their learning. He has dedicated countless hours as a basketball coach where he was named MHSAA Basketball Coach of the Year in 2017 and brought home the provincial championship in 2019. His knowledge, expertise, and genuine connection with our students will be sorely missed." 

Kathryn Reuter will become a Vice Principal at Collège Lorette Collegiate for the new school year. She is currently the Vice Principal/French Immersion Literacy Lead at École Ste. Anne Immersion. 

“Being a strong literacy educator who has worked in several different schools and capacities within our school division, her skillset will complement the leadership team at Collège Lorette Collegiate,” reports SRSD. “She has experience in early years classroom teaching positions, Reading Recovery, and as a co-teacher at École Lorette Immersion. Her strong instructional practices and tremendous knowledge of effective literacy pedagogy are all transferable skills to the high school community.” 

Paul Grosskopf will transfer to Ste. Anne Elementary as a Vice Principal for that school. He is currently Vice Principal at École St. Adolphe School. 

“Paul has also served as a Learning Support Teacher where he has played a critical role in co-creating rich, equitable, and inclusive school and classroom environments that are responsive to students’ strengths and needs. Over the years he has prepared authentic, rich, and differentiated lessons for all core subject areas at both the early and middle-year levels.”  

SRSD says his commitment to teamwork, collaboration, strong work ethic & enthusiasm for continued learning will be an asset to the Ste Anne Elementary School community.  

Collège St. Norbert Collegiate will have a new Vice Principal with Jeff Enns transferring over from Ste. Anne Collegiate. 

“He has been with the division for 27 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to Collège St. Norbert Collegiate.”  

Enns has held positions as a Classroom Teacher, Special Education Teacher, MY & HS Guidance & Resource Teacher, Career Vocational & Innovation Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Vice Principal.
