Residents of the St. Joseph area, west of Letellier, attended an open house this week to hear about some changes to a proposed wind farm project. Vice-President of Development for Bowark Energy Pat Bowes, says they have chosen a turbine which is larger in capacity than it's predecessor, allowing them to reduce the number of turbines from 200 to 130. The new turbines have a slightly larger router diameter and are substantially quieter than the previous models. Meanwhile, Bowes adds the finanical difficulties that hampered the main developer of the project have been resolved. Bowes says the company has been re-labelled 'Pattern Energy',  and a substantive North American trust company called 'Riverstone' is now its financial backer. He notes construction on wind farm is set to start early this fall.
