AM 1250 Radio is located in the city of Steinbach, Manitoba, just 50 kilometers southeast of Winnipeg. Reaching the rural communities of Southeastern Manitoba, AM 1250 Radio targets the agricultural community and the many businesses it supports.

About 5 months ago, I was asked
to write a love letter... to anyone I choose... and they said it was
for a good cause. I have since learned that this whole concept started
in Quebec and for the first time they have involved Manitoba in their
efforts. They're called "Les Impatients Foundation" and this is the 6th
Volume of "140 Love Letters" they have put together to raise money for
mental health -- but also, to be a help to those who are struggling
with something in their lives. The concept is to get a bunch of people
to write a love letter -- to -- well -- anyone. And then, they're
putting them together in a letter box, selling them and you can enjoy
reading letter, after letter filled with love. I chose to write one to
my twin boys... and I am honored to have that letter be a part of their
2010 collection. Mariette Kirouac is the lady in charge of the Manitoba
portion of the project and she explained it all this morning on The Morning Show. A really neat initiative.There are 16 Manitoba love letters included. Lots of the letters are in French -- but their goal is to, one day, create an entire volume of love letters in Manitoba. If you'd like to buy a box set of love letters -- stop by "Boutique du Livre" at 315 Kenny Street in Winnipeg this Wednesday, February 3rd from 3-6 pm. I'll be there signing autographs from 4-5 pm. If you can't make it all the way there... just call Mariette and she'll connect you with Southeastman Health. They have a great connection. By the way, all the money raised from this "kick off" will stay in Manitoba -- and that's the best part. Her number is 797.3349. Oh, you should also know that Olympian Megan Imrie and Steinbach artist J.L. Bond have also written love letters that are included in the set.
