AM 1250 Radio is located in the city of Steinbach, Manitoba, just 50 kilometers southeast of Winnipeg. Reaching the rural communities of Southeastern Manitoba, AM 1250 Radio targets the agricultural community and the many businesses it supports.

From the moment I walked through the doors of the Kleefeld school yesterday morning I KNEW something special was going on! The kids were excited, the teachers excited and that made me excited!! They kicked off their "I Love to Read Month" in Olympic fashion! They are going to be reading a lot this month and there are gold, silver and bronze medals up for grabs. Great idea!! After a little torch relay through the halls of the school, with cheering along the way, we heard Marla tell us about the torch and the relay, which was really interesting and then, I shared a bit of my Olympic story and got the kids cheering along with me. It was loud and it was amazing!! I'll be taking all of that cheering with me to Vancouver when our family heads to Whistler for the Games. I will say, I got shivers running down those packed hall ways -- it's been very special for me to share the Olympic spirit with so many in southeastern Manitoba. Thanks to Kleefeld school for inviting me... and for putting so much work into doing something special for your students. I had a great time. Today, I'm off to Blumenort school in the afternoon. I can hardly wait! Michelle.
