AM 1250 Radio is located in the city of Steinbach, Manitoba, just 50 kilometers southeast of Winnipeg. Reaching the rural communities of Southeastern Manitoba, AM 1250 Radio targets the agricultural community and the many businesses it supports.

Can you believe how quickly it has come? The committee's been hard at work for a year already and the volunteers are all in place now -- the arena is being transformed -- and this is exciting. The Safeway Curling Championship is coming to town starting this Wednesday, February 10th!! Now, we're talking THE best male curlers in Manitoba. In fact, they have to be here to qualify for the Brier - the National Men's championship. Names like Jeff Stoughton, Kerry Burtnyk, Mike McEwen and more... they'll all be here. I remember how exciting this was 4 years ago -- how amazing the arena looked, how cool it was to have TV cameras broadcasting from our community, how we, at AM1250, got to broadcast from right inside the arena - up above the sheets of ice. It's just so neat. I have heard that ticket sales have been slow -- so, let's pick it up people!! Don't miss out on the excitement in the arena when the best of the best are going head to head. You can get tickets by calling 320-CURL or you can easily get them at the door. I'm looking forward to singing the anthem at the Opening Ceremonies -- and 3-time national champion and world champion Jill Officer will be at the Opening as well -- and signing autographs afterward... a great way to start the event!
