It would appear the business community is growing in St. Pierre.  Three new businesses have recently opened.  One of those is Sizo Hairstudio owned by Bridgete Bouvier and Brigitte Roy.  Bouvier says it had been their dream for a few years to open their own salon.  For now they offer haircuts, colours and facial waxing but Bouvier says that's only the start and plans are to bring in a nail technician as well.  The ladies say it didn't make sense for them to continue driving to Winnipeg to cut hair while at the same time it didn't make sense for residents of St. Pierre to have to leave the community for a haircut.  The other two businesses to recently open are a take-out pizza service attached to the Shell Gas Bar.  Owner Miguel Forest says it was time to try something new after having been involved with the gas bar for many years.  They will sell pizzas either by the box or slice.  Forest says they're using a chef that has 20 years experience in the pizza industry. And Xaarit is a computer repair, multimedia, website design business owned by Bonaventure Sevi formerly of Africa.  Initially he started learning about computers in order to get a feel for online animation.  That love for computers has now grown to the point he wants to help others.
