New curriculum, launched Friday in Otterburne is being used around the world to teach the English language with text based on the Bible.  Faith Portraits 1 is the 5th book in the Faith Portraits Curriculum Series.  A Curriculum launch was held Friday at Providence College and Seminary.  The curriculum is already being used in 15 countries but co-author Gail Tiessen says due to the high number of immigrants moving to our area, it's also being used locally.  Co-author Elfrieda Lepp-Kaethler says the material is extremely user friendly, lending itself well to teachers who may not be trained.  The women say this is perfect material for a church looking to teach the English language without using an educated professor.  They are already working on Faith Portraits 2 and hope to have that completed in fall.
