The Steinbach Pistons now have points in 13 consecutive games after downing the Swan Valley Stampeders 3-1 on Saturday night.

The Pistons got the first goal of the game for the first time in the past 4 contests, it was Hayden Goderis from Denis Bosc and Cole Smith. Swan Valley would answer back and it would stay tied 1-1 heading into the third period.

Despite the score, Steinbach controlled most of the action with starter Jeremy Wik not seeing much action for extended periods of time.

Cole Smith would break the deadlock in the third with Quintin Lisoway getting the assist. Then on the power play, Denis Bosc put home a rebound with Robert Briem getting the helper. Eddie Eades should get credit for an assist as it was his point shot that handcuffed the Swan goalie allowing Bosc to tap home the rebound.

Wik was solid again making 21 saves for his 12th consecutive victory. The power play went 1-6 and the penalty kill finished 3-3.

The Pistons will not see action again till Friday when it will be a frantic 3 games in 4 night home stand. The Dauphin Kings visit Friday, Neepawa Natives on Saturday and the Winnipeg Blues come for an afternoon affair on Monday.
