The Steinbach Regional Secondary School finished in a tie for sixth place with the host Northlands Parkway Collegiate Nighthawks at the Provincial High School Golf Championship Friday at the Winkler golf course.

The Zone 13 champion Sabres had a 254 total.

Mason Coldwell was eight-over par 79 followed by Carter Driedger who was 87. Dylan Morken was 88 and Eric Adams was 99.

The boys championship banner went to the Miles Macdonnell Buckeyes.

Ryan McMillan, Cameron McIntyre, Brock Namaka and Brett Walter finished with a 237 total. That was five shots better than Evan Grierson, Anthony Leicht, Neel Soni and Evan Ruta of St. John's Ravenscourt. McMillan had the low round of the day with a one-over par 72.

The girls title belongs to the Vincent Massey Vikings of Brandon.

Tianna Slate, Hayley Shanks, Brynee Pachinski and Hailey Curtis finished with a 267 total which was 64 shots ahead of Kate Gregoire, Morgan Steele and Lexi Cheveldayoff of St. Mary's Academy. Bobby Uhl of Erickson had the low round with a five-over par 76.
