This Sunday is a day of activities at the St. Jean Baptiste Days in La Broquerie.

Organizer Joel Bourgoin says the whole festival kicked off on Saturday morning with a free pancake breakfast.

"We have a baseball tournament that lasts most of the day, and then we have a great social event with fireworks on Saturday night, we have some great local bands coming in. One of them is a Journey tribute band called the ultimate escape."

Bourgoin says Sunday is a day full of family activities. He notes they host an annual family baseball tournament Sunday afternoon (weather permitting) that attracts quite a few local families.

"Sunday is really the french day. A lot of french music, french cuisine and games for the whole family. The nice thing about the St. Jean Baptiste Days is it covers everyone. We make sure everyone can feel comfortable coming. Anyone outside the community is definitely welcome to come and experience it."

Bourgoin says all of the activities are held at the baseball diamonds and arena.
