Wednesday 10 a.m.:

RCMP today released more information about a head-on collision Monday morning on Highway #59 about two miles south of St. Pierre. It happened around 8 a.m. Police say the 82 year-old male driver of a southbound pick-up truck lost control, spun and collided with a northbound car. The 50 year-old female driver of the car was extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say charges are pending against the driver of the truck.

Monday 10 a.m.:

There was a head-on collision this morning on Highway #59, two miles south of St. Pierre. RCMP say it happened around 8 a.m. They have so far released no details regarding injuries. Police say the highway was closed for about two hours after the collision but has since been re-opened.
