Due to a broken cable caused by an eroded embankment between Steinbach and Ste. Anne, many MTS customers had an interruption to their services Friday.

A spokesperson from MTS says they were notified of the problem around 8:30 am. Crews worked throughout the day Friday to repair the problem and were able to have services restored by 8:30 pm that same day.

Customers in Lorette and Falcon Lake experienced a disruption in LTE data and cellular service, while customers in Lorette, Landmark, Niverville and Falcon Lake also experienced an interruption of ADSL Internet services.

MTS would like to thank their customers for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
