A multi-vehicle pileup in North Dakota Monday afternoon forced the closure of I-29, backing up truck traffic on the Canadian side of the border for miles. The mishap occurred near the community of Bowesmont, between Pembina and Drayton, where a car was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer. A lineup of trucks up to 8 kilometres long could be seen along Highway 75, waiting to cross into the U.S.
