The Baby Bottle Drive is taking on a new look.

Steinbach Family Resource Centre Executive Director, Vicki Olatundun, says they changed the drive to a tin where coins can be inserted at the top due to feedback from donors. She notes they heard the bottles were time consuming to insert coins and individuals were unaware of their purpose. The tins have a slot at the top where coins and bills may be inserted and they are, once again, being distributed to businesses, churches and individual groups starting next week and ending on Father's Day.

"Individuals as well because I know lots of families have events where a family will come together and have dinner and they want to do something for a non-profit; this is the perfect way to do it, it's open to all," says Olatundun. "Our dream is to reach all of Steinbach."

She notes, after listening to feedback, the goal is to make it easier for people to give which, in turn, will help keep the centre alive, well and continue to generate the generous spirit in Steinbach.

Olatundun says they had received a grant to start the Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program and, with the funds raised from the tins, she wants to continue the program, noting there are parents who need such a program, and would otherwise have to drive to Winnipeg.

She adds a thank you to the community for their continued support and encouragement.
