The speed limit in the City of Steinbach is 30km per hour in the school zones starting Tuesday September 1st.

RCMP Seargent Joanne Ryell says the speed limit will be enforced in school zones, and she would like to remind drivers to be aware of the lower speed limit as they drive near schools in Steinbach.

The school zone speed limit has specific hours as posted on the signs, which is from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday and is in effect from September 1, 2015 through June 30th of 2016.

The school season begins after the Labor Day long weekend on September 9 for most students in Hanover.
