RCMP need your help in finding those responsible for a theft this week in La Broquerie. Steinbach RCMP say they received a report Thursday of theft from a trailer parked at the La Broquerie Hotel. Culprits stole two chainsaws. They are described as a white and green, 16 inch Hitachi and an orange and white, 14 inch Stihl in an orange case. The word Aggregage is written on the case. The theft happened some time between Wednesday evening at 5pm and Thursday morning at 8am.

Also Thursday morning, two rail grinders and a rail saw were stolen from a CN Rail truck parked at the La Broquerie Hotel. The tools were chained up, but culprits cut the chain and took the items. They have distinctive markings that would identify them as belonging to the rail company. The theft is estimated at $8,500.

Anyone with information on either of these thefts is asked to contact Steinbach RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
