Traffic control lights are expected to go into full operation Thursday at the intersection of Highway 59 and Provincial Road 311, east of Niverville.

The traffic lights are already flashing there, reminding motorists of the new lights that will come into service Thursday at 10am.

The total cost of the new signal equipment was about $550,000.

Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation says traffic flows have grown to the extent that lights are warranted at that intersection.
