AM1250's Michelle Sawatzky with Kristin Stam, who came to the studio this morning to share her story of her daughter who passed away after being diagnosed with "Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glyoma".

Kristin's daughter, Ava, passed away 2 years ago, at the age of 7, from D.I.P.G. which is a type of cancer in the brain stem. Right now, there is 0% survival rate from this type of cancer and so, the hope for the fundraiser is that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the lab where the research is being done so that they can continue to dig to one day find a cure.

So... your next date night should be, Sunday, February 12th at Grunthal Abundant Life Fellowship. Tickets are $25. Get your tickets by emailing Kristin at  [email protected] or at the church.

Thank you Kristin for sharing your story! Your strength is inspiring to us all!
