If the world doesn’t respond soon, millions of people could die for lack of food in South Sudan, Nigeria, Somalia and Yemen. In those countries over 20 million people are at risk of starvation due to famine, and the Canadian Foodgrains Bank is in the final week of a nationwide appeal for your help.

Through June 30th the Canadian Government is matching donations from individual Canadians to the Foodgrains Bank Famine Appeal.

Spokesperson John Longhurst joined us Tuesday on the Morning Show with details on the scope of the crisis, and why we need to get involved.

John stressed it's children, women, men... entire families, not faceless individuals, who are facing starvation.

It's important to make your donation this week because the Canadian Government will match it through June 30th. Donate right now by clicking here.
