Abbigale Guse started writing her first novel at just 14 years old. Now at 20, she's set to release three new stories in an ever-expanding universe.

Abbigale remembers when her imagination took over. "I was homeschooled from kindergarten all the way to grade 12." Abbigale reflected this morning on the Morning Show. "I come from a Christian background and one thing that stands out to me is that I was not allowed to read Harry Potter. Because of my families beliefs with sorcery and magic, we didn't mess with that, in my dad's words."

While it took about 4 years to get everything in place, with the support of her parents, Abbigale self-published the novel entitled Tales Of The Bonded: Fire And Ice.

Having something for ages 12-16 in the fantasy realm is very new and Abbigale is proud to be one of the early authors of such work. "There are so many themes in fantasy novels in particular. Course language and graphic violence. Themes like wizardry or sorcery and that kind of thing, that a lot of Christian or families that don't' want their kids consuming that."

Abbigale hasn't stopped working, although, she admits it's been a tough balancing act. "I was set to release a sequel to my first book. But, then I realized I was in school and didn't really have time to write a 90,000 word, 350-page novel. So, I decided to write a prequel. Three short stories, all about 12,000 words and they all have to do with this world and specific characters in the first book. The nice thing about this short story collection is for younger teens who maybe aren't able to pick up a 90,000 word, 350-page book. It's more digestible.

Abbigale is set to release the three new short stories February 2nd at McNally Robinson. The link below will send you to her first book Tales Of The Bonded: Fire And Ice.
