Rugby continues to grow in the Southeast and Caleb Fenton of the Southeast Thistles Rugby Club stopped by the morning show to talk about the sport.

"It's great for all ages." Fenton said Wednesday morning. "From 17-60, we're looking for players. It's a great sport that really pushes you mentally as well as physically."

For those who have seen the game and think it's to rough for them, Fenton contests that it's actually safer then people realize."Player saftey is always the most important. It looks rough, but when you're in it or see it up close, it's very calculated. There are hard hits, but we really teach player's to protect themselves as well as their opponent."

The need for players continues and for those who want to get involved, there are plenty of chances, says Fenton. "We practice Monday's and Wednesday's at AD Penner Park, we have our own rugby pitch, at 6:30pm."

Also, games are set to start this week.

"It's free for everyone to come down and watch, it's 7:30pm on Thursday. Any questions people have can be answered. Come down and experience this sport that's really growing in the Southeast and all of Manitoba."
