Gudron Yngvadottir, from Gardabaer, Iceland, was elected to serve as First Vice President of Lions Clubs International at the Association's 100th International Convention, held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, June 30 - July 4, 2017.

And this past weekend -- she joined Lions' club members from 12 districts including all of Manitoba, Minnesota and Northwest Ontario who gathered in Winnipeg for their annual multiple district convention.

We see our lions' clubs at work in our communities and we couldn't imagine our lives without them. The volunteer hours are immense and their motivation continues to be meeting any need in their community. And when you add all communities are the world you get a global organization that is doing amazing things.

it was a treat to listen in on gudron's and am1250's michelle sawatzky's conversation from the convention. sounds like the future is bright for lions' clubs. Find a club near you, become a lion and make a real difference.
