One of those was near Falcon Lake. Another two forest fires started Wednesday in Manitoba. Tom Mirus is our provincial fire program manager. He says one of those was caused by lightning between Falcon Lake and Marchand. It was quickly extinguished by local firefighters. There are now 25 forest fires burning in Manitoba. We've had 476 so far this year. Mirus says there's not a lot of rain in the forecast for the weekend and so all fire restrictions will remain in place in provincial parks.
