A patient at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach is hoping today will be the day where he’s at the top of the waiting list.

Tim Plett has been in a hospital bed for over two weeks, waiting to go for an angiogram in Winnipeg.

He says there are more urgent cases that continue to bump him down the list.

“There's a huge backlog of people that need to get the test,” Plett explains. “So, it’s prioritization and the worst case first, obviously. And then those that don’t have as severe conditions are on a waiting list and get in as they can.”
