Executive Director Gary Martens says Pioneer Days could draw up to 15,000 visitors.

Fifteen thousand visitors and four hundred volunteers.  Those are some of the numbers you should know about for this weekend's Pioneer Days at Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach.  Executive Director Gary Martens says it's their biggest event of the year.  One of the new features this year is the community market put on by the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce, selling products created or baked locally.  There will also be plenty of entertainment including a series of historical documentaries created by Otto Klassen.  Also, this weekend they will unveil their restored steamer and put their horses to work by cutting hay or maybe cultivating.
