Water pressure has stabilized in an area east of the Red River affected by a major leak in a section of the Pembina Valley Water Co-op's network, however a boil water advisory does remain in effect at this time.

A low flow and low pressure situation led to the boil water advisory for area residents in the rural municipalities of Morris, Emerson-Franklin and Montcalm.

According to Greg Archibald, CEO for the Pembina Valley Water Co-op, water usage windows that were put in place prior to Christmas are now discontinued.

This means users are now able to access water at all times of the day.

To ensure all day access, users are being asked to continue water conservation efforts.

Excavation near the leak site will continue through Wednesday in order to pinpoint its exact location.
