Nearly two dozen snowmobiles left Steinbach Thursday afternoon as part of the 27th annual Journey For Sight.The annual fundraiser raises more than $80,000 each year for the Lions eye bank. Rudi Geretschman of Lee River is taking part in his 13th and final ride. He does it in order to give something back to the Lions eye bank which helped his in-laws many years ago. Local rider Sam Slobodesky is on his 7th ride. He says the crew is always well received by passing motorists. The journey zigzags throughout southern Manitoba and by Saturday as many as 70 sleds will end the journey in Brandon.
