City council has found a way to start work on the new complex. Steinbach city council has decided to build the new soccer complex over a couple of years.  The project was in jeopardy after the lowest tender came in 40 per cent over budget.  But Deputy Mayor Dwight Reimer proposed Tuesday night that the contractor be asked to do as much work as $600,000.00 would allow and leave the remainder for next year.  City council agreed.  Chief Administrative Officer Jack Kehler will meet with the local soccer committee on Wednesday to discuss which parts of the project can be deferred.
