Their surplus account is growing.  That's good news for the board of the Hanover School Division.  The budget for this fiscal year projected a deficit of nearly $300,000.00.  Board chair Ron Falk says increased revenues may actually result in a $300,000.00 surplus.  Student numbers, which determine funding, were higher than forecast.  And there was more income than expected from the province and local tax roles.  He reports the Division had expected to have a total accumulated surplus of $800,000.00 by year end.
But that number could now jump to $1.5 million.
