Board Chair Gordon Kornelson says there is a huge local market for second hand goods. The thrift store on Main Street set a new high of almost $800,000.00 which is a 12 per cent jump over the previous year. Of that $400,000.00 was forwarded to MCC Manitoba. Meanwhile their 10,000 Villages store had a sales jump last year of 19 per cent to just over $115,000.00. Their new location for 10,000 Villages is very full and has done well but he says they have no plans to expand at this time.
