Residents of Steinbach will find out this week just how much reassessment has affected their property taxes.  The city is in the process of mailing out tax bills.  City treasurer Troy Warkentin says while the average assessment was up 18 per cent, there are exceptions.  He notes some homeowners will see their taxes up 50 per cent over last year.  Warkentin reminds us the tax bills include both the city levy and taxes collected on behalf of the Hanover School Division.  The due date is September 29th.
