Things are slowly falling into place for a new school in Ste. Anne.

The province has given approval for the Seine River School Division to purchase land in Ste. Anne which will be used for a new school.

While the school board would like to see a vocational high school on that land, chairperson Wendy Bloomfield says it’s up to the province to give final say on details for the new school.

She adds, it’s an urgent situation because there are three schools in one complex and they’re adding portable classrooms right now to handle the overcrowding.

“It’s just a very awkward configuration,” Bloomfield adds.
