The Carillon Sultans improved their record to 12 and 6 with a doubleheader sweep of the Bisons in Altona Sunday. The Sultans, despite getting just one hit, took the opener 3-0. Ken Bueckert got the win. Matt Borgford and Shawn McClarity each drove in three runs as Carillon took the second game 11-1 in five innings. The Sultans are three game back of the first place Elmwood Giants. The defending Manitoba Junior Baseball League champions downed the Interlake Knights 12-3. The St.James A's took a pair from the Pembina Valley Orioles 4-2 and 6-5.
