Manitoba RCMP report that a 19-year-old driver, with an Intermediate licence, was caught going 170 km/h on Highway 1, near the Highway 12 overpass, at 6:47pm on July 1.

A roadside breath demand was requested and the driver blew a 32, which is a FAIL, as Intermediate licence holders have a ZERO Blood Alcohol Content requirement.

RCMP report that the driver claimed she was on her way home from Reynold’s pond and “was just slowing down to pass a semi”

The young driver was fined $966 for speeding and $113 for driving with alcohol in her blood, her licence seized plus a Serious Offence Notice for meeting with MPI.
