Mayor Robert Gosselin tells us health concerns are preventing him from running for a 2nd term. Prior to taking over the gavel, he was a councillor for 3 terms.  Some of the hilites for him include the Lafreniere Bridge, Smith Drive, improvements to recreational facilities and high speed internet coming to town.  Mayor Gosselin is also proud of the way council has handled some sensitive issues this past term.  He hopes the new council will continue to keep it's meetings open to the public, only going behind closed doors when they absolutely have to.  The only person so far to announce candidacy for council is Albert Chaput.
