The Steinbach Fire Department was called out to a three-vehicle collision Tuesday evening just minutes before their open house was set to begin.

Deputy Fire Chief Ron Chausse says they were dispatched to the intersection of Lumber Avenue and Brandt Street at 5:41 P.M.

“There were no injuries, we have a little bit of clean-up to do, RCMP are just dealing with their paperwork and this intersection will be shut down for about a half hour here and we will get this cleaned up.”

Chausse says each vehicle had just a single occupant at the time of the collision. He doesn't know exactly how the crash unfolded, but says the RCMP are looking into it.

Once all of the vehicles have been cleaned up, Chausse says his team can get back to the Steinbach Fire Department Open House.
