It's been quite a start to the season for the Manitoba Youth Job Centre in Steinbach.  Summer Employment Officer Richard Bracken says they ran 36 information sessions in various schools this spring which is 20 more than last year.  He says they reached 1,000 students.  Bracken says they're also receiving more job orders than last year.  He says they kidnapped Steinbach MLA Kelvin Goertzen on Monday to try and boost numbers.  They held him ransom for job orders.  Bracken says unfortunately only a few orders were posted.  However, he says they had a lot of fun with Kelvin and appreciate his willingness to help out.
