It wasn't just Labour Day Monday out here in the Southeast, it was also Fall on the Farm: the Mennonite Heritage Village's final annual event of the season. And what a day it was.
Despite earlier forecasts for rain, the sun was out and shining, and everybody was enjoying themselves and all that the museum had to offer. In addition to every location and building being open for business, there was also a variety of demonstrations including threshing and steam-powered activities.
Entertainment was running all throughout the day, with performances from Steinbach's Old Time Country Band, Mr. Ken, The Wiebe Sisters, and 5 Acres Band.
For kids, there were petting zoos, pony and barrel train rides, and scavenger hunts.
It was an incredibly fun event for everybody, and for a lot of us: the perfect way to wrap up the summer.
