The Ste. Anne Aces are one win away from capturing a fourth straight Carillon Senior Hockey League title.

Guy St. Vincent made 43 saves and Brenden Walker had a pair of assists as the Aces defeated the Grunthal Red Wings 5-3 Friday night in Ste. Anne.

Steph Pattyn, Keith Grondin, Dustin Pearson, Vaughn Dupre and Jon Mitchell into an empty net also scored for the Aces who lead the best-of-seven final three games to two.

Landon Plett, Remi Laurencelle and Jayden Plett replied for the Red Wings who received a 45-save performance from Matthew Krahn.

The first period was scoreless and the Aces had a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes.

Game six goes Sunday (6 p.m.) in Grunthal and if a seventh and deciding game is necessary it will be played Tuesday back in Ste. Anne.
