Blumenort and Seine River captured Baseball Manitoba’s 50th anniversary provincial championship banners on Sunday.

The Red Sox recorded five wins and a loss this past weekend at the 15U championship in Rosenort.

Blumenort defeated Lundar 15-4; outscored Brandon 15-13, downed Hamiota 12-4 and lost 12-2 to Rosenort.

The Red Sox edged Altona 2-1 and then handed Virden it’s only loss of the weekend 8-3 in the final.

 

Seine River went undefeated in winning the 13U championship in Ile des Chenes.

The host team defeated Brandon 11-2; beat Balmoral 12-5 and downed Morden 11-2 in the round robin.

Seine River beat Russell 13-6 in the semifinals and then defeated Boissevain 11-7 in extra innings in the championship game.
