The Steinbach Pistons were defeated handily by the Neepawa Natives 6-1 on Wednesday night in Neepawa.

Steinbach got off to the start they wanted by scoring first. Call up Tristen Robins scored his first MJHL goal with the lone assist going to Drew Anderson.

The Natives quickly answered back with a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead into the dressing room.

Neepawa surged out ahead in the second scoring three more times, two of which were on the power play.

Midway through the third, the Natives put the game out of reach for good by scoring again to make it 6-1.

The Natives goal scorers were Zach Johnson, Braden Binda, Nolan Richards, Ashton Anderson, Brett Namaka and Ryan Heino.

It was Steinbach's second loss of the season. The power play went silent finishing 0-6 while the normally strong penalty kill served up 3 goals on 5 chances.

Matt Radomsky was saddled with the loss finishing the night with 30 saves.

The Pistons will head back home for a tilt Friday night against the Winnipeg Blues.
